Developing the Rig
We were given a set with already rigged character to animate, so we don't have to waste any time modelling and rigging. However, the current rig wouldn't be enough for my animation as there is only squash and stretch and my ball will do a lot of turning and jumping in different directions. I've added three more deformers to the ball:
1. Twist
2. Bend forward and backward
3. Bend left and right
That will give me much more flexibility and allow me to do much more believable animation.
I'm happy with the tail rig, so I left it as it is.

3D Ball with Tail (Storyboard)
In this test, the same as in the 2D test, I want to go beyond the brief and make the ball do some thing more than just bounce up and down the steps.
The steps in this scene are like pyramid. That gives me a lot of freedom to push my imagination and make the ball do something interesting. there is no much background in the scene, so everything has a surreal location. The lighting will be dark. that gave me an idea of the ball getting lost.
The ball will go up the steps but then it will be confused which way to go down. It will look around and go down one step. But soon enough it will change its mind and go down in different direction. Once the ball will reach the bottom, it'll still be confused which way to go. It will look both ways and continue to bounce in right direction. The ball will bounce around the pyramid to get back to the straight line as it begun the bounce.

3D_FINAL_BOUNCING BALL
For the 3D test I've used the same type of ball as in 2D test. This has saved me a lot of time as I didn't have to do another research and could fully focus on the animation.I've also decided to add some textures and sound just to make it more fun to watch.
